Conscious Dating - Sydney gays

  • Abercrombie Street Chippendale, NSW, 2008 Australia

Kick aside your doona and come to Conscious Dating for some creative, flirty fun!

We will be guiding you through a chilled life-drawing session with our live model. Don't worry if you "can't draw" - we have a more meditative than technical approach.

Then attendees will meet each other one-on-one, guided by our better conversations series - cards and activities to get to know each other in a more authentic way. You note down who you'd like to see again and matches are notified after the event (along with a 'first date deal' with one of our partnering bars/restaurants).

Wine by Urban Winery, T Totaler tea, finger food and drawing materials provided.

Note: The exact location will be emailed to attendees 48 hours before the event. Please wear comfortable clothes as you will be sitting on the floor for some of the event. Let us know if you have dietary requirements and we will aim to accommodate.

Conscious Dating - Race and Dating

  • 107 Projects

Conscious Dating Co explores what it means to date consciously in a series of panels and workshops. At 107 Projects in April we discuss attraction, racial bias and dating in Australia.

What influences attraction? Is racial bias affecting your dating life? How do you deal with being fetishised? And can we all expand our dating pool by mindfully inspecting our own racial biasses?

Conscious Dating Co founder Kaila Perusco will host a panel discussion with award-winning journalist, documentary filmmaker and host of SBS’s Date My Race, Santilla Chingaipe; writer and equal rights advocate Andy Quan; and applied sociologist Dr Zuleyka Zevallos.

Join us for a fascinating insight into modern dating!

Conscious Dating Sydney

  • Randle Street Surry Hills, NSW, 2010 Australia

Sick of swiping your phone but want to meet someone interesting? Join us for cocktails, conversations and chill at Conscious Dating!

Learn how to make cocktails using native botanical ingredients with Phoenix Naman (of Palmer & Co, Trolley'd fame). Then attendees will meet each other one-on-one, guided by our (non-cringey) conversation cards and games. You note down who you'd like to see again and matches are notified after the event.

Cocktails, organic herbal tea and finger food provided.

Feedback from our last cocktail night:
"Really nice vibe and good crowd, completely different to other speed dating events I've been to."
"Very relaxed with friendly people. No need to try too hard and I was able to be authentic to myself and others."

Note: Please wear comfortable clothes as you will be sitting on the floor for some of the event. The exact location will be emailed to attendees 48 hours before the event. This event does not have age restrictions - our events usually attract late 20s to late 30s - but we don't discriminate! Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements and we will accomodate.
